Feltöltve: 2026-02-11

The ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA) marked a major milestone in its history with the presentation of the 35th ASEANTA Tourism Awards of Excellence, held on January 27, 2026, in Cebu, Philippines, in conjunction with the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2026.

The ceremony, hosted at JPark Island Resort in Mactan, Cebu, brought together tourism leaders, government representatives and industry stakeholders from across Southeast Asia to recognise outstanding achievements in the ASEAN tourism sector. Organised by ASEANTA Philippines in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, the event highlighted best practices across tourism operations, hospitality, attractions and MICE facilities.

Now in its 35th year, the ASEANTA Tourism Awards have become one of the region’s most respected platforms for promoting quality standards, sustainability and responsible tourism development. The awards recognise measurable contributions in areas including destination marketing, cultural preservation, sustainability initiatives and visitor experience, supporting ASEAN’s broader goals of regional cooperation and tourism excellence.

This year’s award recipients represented a diverse cross-section of the regional tourism industry. SMX Convention Center in the Philippines was named Best ASEAN Convention Centre, while Cambodia-based CSL Travel & Tours received the Best ASEAN Tour Operator award. Indonesia’s Sudamala Resorts was recognised for Best ASEAN Sustainability Program, and Enchanted Kingdom in the Philippines was honoured as Best ASEAN New Tourism Attraction.

Malaysia featured strongly among the winners, with AirAsia MOVE taking the Best ASEAN Marketing and Promotional Program award, Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa receiving Best ASEAN Hotel Package, and Borneo Nature Tours securing two honours for Best ASEAN Eco-Lodge and Best ASEAN Cultural Preservation Effort. Shroff Travel of the Philippines was also recognised with the Best ASEAN Travel Article award.

ASEANTA President Eddy Krismeidi Soemawilaga said the awardees reflect the highest standards of tourism excellence in the region. He noted that their achievements demonstrate how innovation, sustainability and cultural stewardship can generate long-term benefits for destinations and local communities across ASEAN.
